You must be an approved newsroom on the Civil Registry to launch a Boost. The Civil Registry includes newsrooms that have both pledge to follow the Civil Constitution and are approved by the Civil community. This gives supporters reason to trust that the newsroom will fulfill the Boost and use the proceeds raised accordingly.
During the Civil Registry application process, your newsroom will also create its Newsroom Wallet and assigned Officers who have access to the funds in the newsroom wallet. This wallet is where the proceeds from each Boost will go. Without a Newsroom wallet, your newsroom cannot receive funds raised from the Boost.

If your newsroom is approved on the Civil Registry, you can launch a Boost from the Civil Boost page or from your Newsroom Manager. You’ll fill out a brief form describing your newsroom’s purpose and more details about the Boost, including a name, a description, the target goal and a list of items that the Boost is meant to fund and a timeline.
After you’ve completed this form, you’ll be able to share the Boost with your supporters.
Once your Boost is completed, you’ll be able to exchange ETH for any local currency to fund your expenses.
